Both have pros and cons. London is a far better city, there is no doubt but Milan is nice. The Italian lifestyle is much calmer compared to London’s but I love London life at the same time. I chose to live in Milan because it’s the busiest and least Italian city. It’s got nice buildings in the centre but the rest of it just built up tower blocks.
One of my biggest gripes is that shops in Milan close early/are not open at all hours, that is something I have become so used to and not having those shops open annoys me. Coming home after 9pm and not seeing a thing open except a restaurant/bar is unusual.
London’s transport is fantastic, Milan’s is fairly good but there are limited night buses and most only run on the weekends (something which only came into effect this September).
It’s just started to snow here so it would be good to see how they deal with it. London comes to a stand still and everything just goes to shit when snow falls - that is annoying.
London is my city, I love it and everything that comes with it. Milan is a nice place to live, nothing spectacular and I wouldn’t live here if I didn’t have to.
